Kang In wins Golden Ball award in Under-20s World Cup

The Korean player was the star of the tournament, in which his country finished runners-up

Valencia CF player Kang In has lit up the Under-20s World Cup in Poland, and he was part of the Korean Republic side who finished runners-up in the tournament. The young talent was further rewarded by winning the Golden Ball award, recognising the best player of the FIFA competition.

Kang In got on the scoresheet in the final on Saturday night, but would end up on the losing side as Ukraine came back to win 3-1.

Over the course of the competition, the Valencia CF youth product took his country to the final for the first time, wowed crowds with his individual skills, and scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists.

As a result, he is in the running for another award, as a nominee for prestigious 2019 Golden Boy award organised by Tuttosport for the best Under-21 talents.
